I think this is a good piece of gear when comfort is more important than weight and bulk, as in canoe or car camping, or when there's no electricity to your house. It boils water very efficiently with just pine-cones, twigs and scrap paper, doesn't leave much of a trace, and there's no fuel to carry, no moving parts to wear out. I expect mine will be blackened and dented when my kid inherits it, and he'll appreciate it's "character" until he passes it on to the next generation.
